Welcome, welcome. Welcome to make more money without selling your soul with myself Polly Lavarello, Evergreen marketing expert and cushy business pioneer, and it’s 2006 Excited to be recording and the energy is high at Cushy HQ. Because we have just launched a rebrand. I mean, I’d say it’s an identity brand identity kind of Everly I mean, you could call it all the things is it an identity brand evolution, I don’t know, all I know is there have been principles behind my business for a long time. Now, I love to play, I love to play within the realms of possibility. I’m a huge fan of pleasure. And they hadn’t really been at the forefront of my brand. Visually, I’d kind of been representing the more grounded more earthy side of myself and my brand up until now. But ultimately, what I came to recognise from the experience people have when they work with me is that it is playful, it is fun. And it was time that I injected some of that into my brand. And what was really important to me was that you really got a sense for the feeling of what cushy is. And that is what my new brand does. But anyway, you’re not listening to that because of that. Or this because of that you’re listening to this because I’m going to be sharing with you the three reasons to create an evergreen hybrid group program. Right now, I’m really excited to be talking about this theme, because actually, I plan to talk about why 2024 is a year for evergreen. But when I reflected on the episodes we already have out there. I’ve already recorded a lot of content on evergreen. So if you came here to listen to that, because that’s what I teased was coming up, please just go to the search bar. And listen, listen, listen, listen, because 2024 I mean, every year is a year for evergreen, it is never too soon to create streamlined, scalable offers and systems in your business that enable you to have more time freedom, more money and more impact. I mean, silly, right? I mean, like what why would you? Why would you hold back. And ultimately, to rely on just live launching or being fully booked one to one is just not a sustainable way to grow your business. And it certainly wreaks havoc on the nervous system. So if you are a busy parent like me, or if you’re a neurodivergent person like me, or if you just like having time to do nice things for yourself, because why the heck not, then you know, Evergreen is just a non-negotiable and you should 100% be learning as much as you can about it. And you will learn so much about it from listening to this podcast. So if you haven’t listened to a few episodes already, go knock yourself out. They’re all very short, digestible, and help you actually take action and move forward with your business. So anyway, let’s get into an evergreen hybrid group program because I suspect the first question you have is what the hell is an evergreen evergreen program? So I’m going to explain that before I explain why now is the perfect time to have one. So what I mean when I say an evergreen hybrid group program, is this. So I work with a lot of fully booked service providers, right. I was one myself, and one of the biggest hesitations a lot of us have, when it comes to launching your first first group program is that actually I like the one-to-one elements with my clients. I like having a high touch business. Yes, I want to have more passive elements to my business. Yes, I’d like more time back. But there’s a little bit of me that’s not entirely trusting that putting my offer into group format into a kind of on demand curriculum, or even delivering it live will have the same impact as working with me one to one. And so I’ll still find myself in that predicament where I’m taking a one-to-one clients because my group program won’t do enough heavy lifting. And this is my friends what the Evergreen hybrid group program and I’m just going to call it by its generic term one that you could go google yourself, because there’s a few people out there referencing this in this day and age, but this is where this format fixes that gap. Okay.
05:00
Because I’m like you, I love you. I love talking to people I love you know, today being back at work, having a few sales calls booked in checking in with my one to ones I am a lit up. And it really reminds me how much I love my work, and I love my clients. And I think it would be my worst nightmare, if all elements of my business were purely passive. And all I was was a content creator, I would really miss those interactions, I’d really miss those beautiful reflections from people about how well they’re succeeding. And ultimately, one of the things that enables you to have a group program that’s making, you know, good sums of money is having those one-to-one elements where, you know, essentially, it’s almost like what you probably see in a mastermind kind of context, if you’ve been in a mastermind, you’ll have already probably experienced something like an evergreen hybrid group program. So let me break it down to you, in terms of what that looks like, it looks like, as I referenced earlier, and on demand curriculum, so essentially, if someone comes to work with you, because you help them get unstuck, say they are not going for promotions at work, they’re feeling nervous to speak up, it might be that your particular solution is that they come to work with you. And you help them get clear on what it is that they want. You help them find a strategy to actually go about and ask for it and put themselves in the right position to claim it. And then finally, those kind of know what what is it that they need to embed those habits long term.
06:25
The curriculum could be that entire process, like curriculum could be the thing that helps them set their goals, it can be exercises that help them do goal setting, it can be exercises that help them claim their voice, it could be exercises that help them you know, maybe do a visualisation exercise where you help them. Imagine what it is to walk into work and feel confident and hold their head high. And maybe you have I don’t know, a guest coach in there who helps them on how they’ll dress and what makeup there were when they’re being their most expressed self. Like there’s all sorts of fun you can have at this, right. But essentially, you can have a process that everybody goes through when they come to work with you, which makes it really easy for them to one understand what they’re buying. And to for you to support them through that process. Because everybody’s going through the same thing which creates that sense of community, because everyone is going on that same journey going through that same process, and they’ve chosen you, because you’ve been able to articulate really confidently why your particular process makes a difference in a way that your competitors processes don’t, you don’t have to phrase it that way. But essentially, when they hear about your unique process, they will feel like you are the only solution to what it is that they need. So it’s very, very powerful, right. But one of the things that most people really enjoy about a group program is that sense of community is that sense of connection. And so of course, on top of the on demand curriculum, which they can do in their own time, which is great in this day and age, most of people want to be able to do the learning when they’re doing the school run and you know, listening it listening to it, for example, on the way back from the school run, or perhaps you know, listening to it, you know, while they have their lunch, or maybe they take some time out in the evening. Obviously, it looks different for everyone, and depends on who it is that you’re working with. And if you’re working with businesses, obviously, that’s going to look very different for them as well. So there’s a few things to consider. But essentially having an on-demand curriculum, you know, let’s face it, who’s got enough time, and even those who do have enough time who have those people who have a lot of time want to be spending it watching an on-demand curriculum, most people don’t. And when I say an on-demand curriculum, what I’m referring to is, of course, you know, video content, written content exercises, maybe that you have audio content that people can listen to their own time, maybe you have a fusion of both, it can look like a variety of things. But that’s what they’re learning essentially. Now, obviously, learning is one thing and then putting it into real life can look very different. And that’s why your group coaching calls are so potent, because they will come to those cores and go, Oh, I’m this stage in the process. And this bits working for me, but I really can’t wrap my head around this other part or you know, my partner doesn’t understand this, or my kids are making this bit hard or my boss, you know, whatever it is. And that’s where the group coaching calls are really powerful. Because, you know, ultimately, a lot of people can get stuck, they can become demotivated, they can fall off when they’re doing it in their own time. That’s why online courses have such a low completion rate. It’s something obscene like 97% of people don’t complete online courses. So this is why I love group programs because that is way less like it’s impossible. It just can’t happen when you’re in a group program context because you’ve got those group coaching calls, you’ve got that connection, you’ve got that accountability and it’s really hard for you to get stuck because you’ve got a community where you can come in and say can you help me wriggle myself out this place? What do I need to do to see this differently or do this differently? Okay, so there’s that so you’ve got the group coaching because I know this stage we’re going Polly’s sounds like a group program, the live calls and the you know on demand content, right? What makes it hybrid is that you can also include Milestone One to One calls or they may not even be Milestone One-to-One calls you may just say for example in my program elevate for evergreen when people join, the first thing we do is we have a kickoff call together
10:00
To where we create a bespoke strategy for them using my unique processes, because ultimately, there’s a few different kind of directions you can go in with my processes. And it’s ensuring that they choose the one that’s best aligned to where they’re at in their business right now, what their business goals are, and what their unique predicament is, you know, some people come to me time poor, some people come to me time rich, it’s ensuring whatever your situation is that you have a strategy that you feel excited by. So we have that one-to-one call. And then we also have asset reviews. So people submit to me their sales pages, their webinars, all of those things, and they get my personalised feedback, a 30-minute loom video, where I go through in detail all the adjustments and recommendations I have for what it is that they’ve created, which is really, really powerful. And alongside that, we have a check in after their first launch. And we also have a call to make sure that they’re set up confident needs to scale on the other side. So it’s amazing. And it really makes a huge difference. It’s like the benefits of one to one, but with so much more. Okay, so that’s why I’m so passionate about elevate for evergreen, which is essentially my core program. But obviously, I’m describing my program to help you understand it, but it can look the same for you. I’m yet to meet somebody who is in a predicament where this can’t work for them. It’s usually just figuring out what valuable problem are you solving. And there is a way to make it work. I’ve worked with nutritional therapists who were like, Oh, they want one element is really important. We can make it work I’ve worked with, I mean, generally speaking, it’s in the health space where the one-to-one element is so important. I’m trying to think if there’s any others, but I think that’s predominantly it. But you know, most people come because they love that one-to-one element, and you get to still have that in a scalable way. By the way, this doesn’t mean that, you know, you know, if you’re just enrolling five new clients a month, depending on the length of your program, it’s entirely scalable. And on top of that, of course, should you wish to you could have resident experts supporting facilitating those calls long term, when you get to the stage that actually there are more calls coming in than you’d like to have. But if you carefully pace the number of one-to-one access, they get and carefully paced the number of people you’re enrolling, bearing in mind that you get to charge basically one to one rates for this kind of experience, because they’re getting everything they would if not more as a one to one, it’s really powerful. So I’m sharing this in the context that I’m about to launch a brand-new course called never have evergreen, which is specifically about creating something like this. And I’ve been having a few questions from people because I opened the waitlist a while ago. And why say a while ago from about a week ago, and people have already started sending me messages going, Is this appropriate for me? When should I be thinking about this? And one of the things that was really obvious to me, and the reasons why I was excited to create this is I believe it’s never too soon. And I’m going to share with you the three reasons why. One reason is it’s never too soon to be thinking about how can you build an industry leading group program experience? How can you create the very best results for your clients, the people who make sales, the easiest, the people who build the most sustainable, scalable businesses, or might, you know, like, really care about delivering excellence for their clients. And it’s not just about delivering an excellent experience for them. It’s also about being able to communicate it in a way that helps you stand like Head and Shoulders beyond the rest of your competition. And that’s actually point two, that’s reason number two. So one is it’s never too soon to be building an industry leading group program because I tell you, if you’re just winging it, and hoping for the best, you will have winging it kind of results, which will leave you chasing your own tail. Like I’m not going to say that the first time you launch a group program that is going to be it that it’s going to be perfect, and you’ll never evolve and you’ll never change it. But when you know what to be focusing on when you know how to support people, when you know how to structure in a way that genuinely gets results for people, where people are motivated and excited and showing up and paying on time and wanting to renew and wanting to tell all their friends about it. Those are foundations to scale farm right. That is that is the intention to go into your business with. If you know if you’re building anything less than that indicates you don’t entirely trust the results you can get for your clients. If you trust the results you can get for your clients, you should be going at going at it with a view to create the best program on the internet. Secondly, to differentiate yourself from the other comp competitors. So ultimately, if you sound like every other health coach, health therapists, business coach, marketer, you name it, if you sound like everyone else, you’ll be compared to everyone else and you’ll be one of the few people people are considering all the time which will really slow down your sales. I don’t want that for you. Having a really clear process being able to name it being able to understand the value. Being able to understand the problem you’re solving for your clients is going to help you stand out from everyone else. You know it
15:00
If you’re just saying I helped solve a problem that so many other people also solve to, you’ll, you’ll forever be compared to everyone else. So getting clear on what your unique processes and what’s interesting here, by the way is if you’re like, I don’t think I have a unique process, everyone has a unique process, everyone, no matter how early on you are in your business, there will be unique values you’re bringing to the table, which differentiate how you look after your clients, there will be particular types of clients you love looking after, which will differentiate how you like to work with them, and who it is that you’re speaking to. There’ll be some, you know, there’ll be certain things about you, and how you like to work with your clients, which again, will make you different from everyone else, all of us are too close to our business to see that immediately, which is why I have exercises inside. Never have I evergreen to help you get clear on that.
15:48
And finally, it’s about building a business aligned with your cushy goals. It’s never too soon to do that. One of my biggest heartaches, and heartbreaks is when I’m on a discovery call, which I’m doing less and less now with this type of person. But I find it so sad when I see people who are in a situation where they keep on seeing the same thing. So they don’t trust that it ever gets to be any different, or they’re telling themselves a story. I just need to work really, really hard for another year or two years or three years. And then maybe I’ll be enough of an authority in my industry, for things to change, like I can tell you something for nothing, just the mere decision to evolve my brand, and to be bolder with my messaging, and bolder with my brand images has already resulted in so many inquiries, and so many opportunities that weren’t there previously. And that was just off the back of the decision to be more playful with my brand. And it was a bold decision. And it was a Marmite decision, I equally have lost quite a large one not that large. But, you know, the first few days after launching my brand, my numbers weren’t going up in terms of following they were going down. But I was happy for that I was happy to see that my people will know that I’m for them. And for the ones who were like, Oh God, playfulness, go away. Great, we were probably never going to be a very good fit, you know.
17:17
But you know, that’s an example. I mean, obviously, it’s not around my group program. But that’s an example of to one tiny decision, a bold and brave decision, a decision to do and be in a way that I’ve never been before. I’m already reaping the rewards from that. And similarly, it was exactly the same when I launched my first group program. When I launched my first group program, there was that sense of, I haven’t done this before. Nobody’s paid me this kind of sum of money before for a group program experience. I haven’t delivered this before, what if I can’t deliver in the way I desire to, and I took a lot of pressure off myself by simply only enrolling five people the first time I launched my program, like, again, that was a real like mind blowing moment. For a lot of other people. I’m like, you don’t need to enrol 40 people, the first time you launch your group program, if you want to beta test it, just keep your first enrollment small and charge them accordingly. Because they’re gonna get, you know, a hybrid one to one experience with you. So they’re not going to be paying you any less. You know, my first group program, when I launched it, the investment was, I think I made 20k That month for five people enrolling, so they all paid 4000 pounds each for three months support from me. And it was invaluable, they got a very high touch experience for me, four out of five renewed on the other side, because they had such a great experience, they wanted to continue working with me. And you know, it was an end, four out of five made a return on investment within our time working together. And the fifth made an ROI within six months of us having worked together. So you know that there are so many stories we can tell ourselves that stand in the way of us taking that bold aligned action towards what it is that we desire. There are stories we can tell ourselves about how much time it needs to take or how long we need to be doing something for. But ultimately, if you want to be making more money in less hours, if you want to be leading in your industry, if you want to be a face, a name that people recognise, if you want to be in demand on podcasts speaking to people, if you want to be on those stages in those summits, then it’s never too soon to be ensuring and a group program by the way, a hybrid group program plays a really important role in that because it’s the one area of transformation you will be speaking to all the time. So it all goes very hand in hand your brand presence your brand or authority is very much entrenched in the power of the group program or mastermind that you are selling. So like I say if you’ve been sitting on the idea of creating a group program, it is never too soon to get started. Please keep your eyes peeled by the way because beginning of next week, I will be launching a live masterclass which I’ll be delivered
20:00
On January the 17th, where I will be talking exactly about this how to create a potent group program that really creates results. So if you’re interested in that, actually, all you need to do for now is go on to Polly leporello.com and join the waitlist for Never have I evergreen, and it’s everyone on the waitlist, who will get the first invitation to come along to that live masterclass. And then you’ll also be the first to get all the details on the program while the course as it comes out afterwards as well. And it’s going to be at a crazy low price because similar to what I’m sharing with you in terms of what you could be creating this is the first time I’m running this course too. So it’s coming in at a ridiculously obscenely accessible price point, partly as well to support all those people who’ve been in my world all this time who haven’t been able to work with me up until now. So it’s a very exciting moment to be entering 2024 with and this masterclass is not just going to be one of those teasing you with a bunch of stuff and then saying you’re only going to learn about it with me it’s going to you’re going to be able to map out what your group program is on this call. So please do join the waitlist on Polly labriola.com underneath, never have I Evergreen. And yeah, I should drop the link below so it’s easy for you to find and I hope to see you there. Next week, I’m gonna be talking about five biggest mistakes I see people making when they build that group program.
